Rules
1. Administrators & Moderators
1.1 It is the task of the administrators/moderators to moderate posts entirely at their discretion as they deem appropriate in order to foster a positive community.
1.2 Errors in judgment may occur and will be rectified where possible, though you may question a decision, no such assumption should be made by members and should not expect decisions they disagree with to be overturned.
1.3 The Administrator's decision is final. Once the decision is made you are expected to comply with it - arguing in public will get you warned. If you disagree with a decision take it up privately.
1.4 Do not harass or disrespect forum staff. Doing so will get you warned.
2. Signatures & Avatars
2.1 Signatures/Avatars may not have content that contains discrimination, racism, prejudice, hateful content, flaming, lewd sexual references, gore, violence, adult content, pornography...
2.2 Maximum signature size is, width = 500 pixels & height = 200 pixels. This applies to the screen space your signature takes - not individual images you may have in your signature.
2.3 Avatar size is automatically limited to 80 x 80 pixels.
2.4 Signature file size must not be over 25KB.
2.5 Avatar file size must not be over 10KB.
If your signature/avatar exceeds the maximum size, admin will remove it without any prior notice from moderators or admins, unless you reduce the size to be within the limits.
3. Images
3.1 Images wider than 800 pixels may not be posted directly onto the forum.
We do not all have the same screen resolution as you and posting large images may distort thread views for others and as a result cause inconvenience. Large images as defined above will be removed and replaced by a link. Either resize them or use a service such as www.imageshack.us to generate a thumbnail for you.
3.2 Do not quote images when replying to another post.
Instead, remove the image tag in the quote and either replace it with a link to the image or a written reference (for example a description) to it. Images in quotes will simply be deleted.
3.3 Images with content such as discrimination, racism, prejudice, hateful content, flaming, lewd sexual references, adult content, pornography, may not be posted.
3.4 Posting images from other websites, not including photo hosting sites, directly onto the board (i.e. hot linking) without explicit permission of the author is not allowed.
4. Private Messages
4.1 Flaming or harassing other members through private messages is strictly not allowed.
Any member found doing this will be investigated and depending on the result their account may be suspended, banned or be given a warning along with their private messaging capabilities being disabled on their account.
5. General Posting
5.1 Links, URLs of websites or posts containing discrimination, racism, prejudice, hateful content, flaming, lewd sexual references, adult content, pornography may not be posted.
Please just use your common sense - this applies to the contents of your posts, pms, signatures and avatars. Many members from different backgrounds, ages, races, religions and nationalities use these forums. Diversity is good. Please respect others.
5.2 Flaming is not allowed.
5.3 No piracy or warez allowed.
5.4 No Spam or Advertising. This includes bumping spam with more spam or flaming - if this happens you will either get a suspension or get confined to CRAP. affiliate urls that earn cash, banner impressions, click-through’s, etc.
Interpretation to what is "spam" or advertising is entirely up to the admin/mods. We may let some things go if we really think the intention of the poster is to benefit the community here and not themselves. If we close a topic or remove links/images and you're not happy about it and you feel it's unfair then pm the relevant admin/mod and appeal. We will read what you've sent and may re-consider the decision. Posting more spam will only result a warning/ban (depending on the severity).
If you wish to advertise then you will need explicit permission from an administrator. Anyone found advertising on the forum without permission will be given a warning. This means no advertising in signatures, avatars, via pms or posts on the forum without explicit permission from an admin.
5.5 Trolling/flame baiting is not allowed and frowned upon. Anyone found doing this consistently will have their account suspended/banned as necessary.
5.6 Posting hacks to games is not allowed on this forum.
5.7 We welcome feedback and suggestions, but politicizing the running of these forums is not permitted. This is a privately owned forum and all decisions on how it is run are ultimately made by the administrator.
5.8 Post in English only. This is so that content can be received well and monitored.
We don't mind the odd phrase or sentence here and there, provided it's not offensive - we don't want a significant proportion of your post in a language other than English.
5.9 Threads questioning administrative decisions such as thread removals, closures and member warnings/bans/suspensions are not permitted. Instead, take it up with an admin or moderator privately via a private message.
5.10 You may only post using one forum account. Multiple accounts are not permitted. Any found will be removed.
5.11 Threads asking for an appeal or questioning kick/bans that occur on EC are not permitted. Instead, please present your complaint/appeal directly to either a moderator or admin via email or PM. Any such threads will be deleted on sight and the person will be asked to contact a mod/admin in private. This is to prevent unnecessary drama or upset and to deal with the issue as quickly as possible.
